JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Director, renders professional nursing care and guidance to other staff in accordance with physician’s treatment plans and standards of practice/care in order to provide for the comfort and well-being of patients. Represent leadership to ensure quality patient care is consistent with St. Joseph Medical Center goals and objectives, and is provided according to various regulatory Agency Standards. Maintains staffing congruent with a described delivery system reflective of patient needs
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Licensed as a Registered Nurse accepted by Texas State Board of Nursing to engage in professional nursing. Technical, clerical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills relevant to patient care/area. Certification requirements as defined by the certification policy. Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
PREFERRED Baccalaureate degree or progression to this degree. National Certification as recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Bi or Multilingua
