Polysomnographic Technician - PRN
Under the general supervision of the Director and Clinical Coordinator of the Sleep lab, perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions
Is knowledgeable, with the ability to identify and monitor specific muscle activity for each patient with accuracy
Performs sleep study procedures and edits diagnostic test in preparation for Physician interpretation in a timely manner.
Demonstrates the ability to perform EEG and Sleep recordings with accuracy for sleep center patients of all age groups.
Records and performs polysomnograms, including recognition and scoring of sleep stages and all apneas, heart rate and oxygen saturation, demonstrating precision and accuracy.
- Respiratory Care License issued by the State of Texas Department of State Health Services.
- Certification by the National Board Board of Respiratory Care is required, Registration is desired.
- American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) Program is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification beneficial.
