JOB SUMMARY:Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nutritional Services, the Clinical Dietitian is responsible for assessing, directing, and providing nutritional care to patients adhering to established guidelines of the department, medical staff, and regulatory agencies. Must follow and adhere to all federal and state laws and regulations, as well as the Code of Conduct and Performance Standards.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: WORK EXPERIENCE:- Completed a Coordinated Undergraduate Program or Internship and/or Hospital experience.- At least 1 year preferred in clinical area.- Ability to understand and utilize current, acceptable standards in the area of clinical dietetics. LICENSE REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:- Registered with the American Dietetic Association with in 6 months of being hired, Licensed in the State of Texas with in one year of being hired. EDUCATION & TRAINING:- College degree, 4-5 year program completed.- Master's degree or advanced degree program preferred.
